Rev. Paul L. Rose, Jr. was born November 23, 1948, to Paul L. Rose, Sr. and Beatrice W. Rose. He is a native of Denver, Colorado. His Uncle Jerome Rose was the first black head of the Colorado DMV and held the office of Colorado State Representative. Rev. Rose attended Mitchell Elementary, Columbine Elementary, Smiley Jr. High and graduated from Manual High School in June 1966.

Rev. Rose has been married to his wife, Jerolyn S. (Jeri) Rose for Thirty-three years and is a father to four children and one stepdaughter. He currently has eleven grandchildren.

Rev. Rose accepted Christ at a young age. From birth, he attended True Faith Church of God in Christ where his Great. Great. Grandmother, Mother Faye Helen Jones was the Mother of the Church of God in Christ. He attended Berean Bible church after his tour of duty in Vietnam in 1966.

Rev. Rose also attended church at the Salvation Army and Trinity Full Gospel Church. He was licensed to preach at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Henry Miles, Jordan A.M.E. Church, Denver Colorado. He furthered continued his ministry and ministerial studies at Macedonia Baptist Church under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Paul M. Martin and Pastor Dennis Leonard of Heritage Christian Center.

Once he left Macedonia Baptist Church, he worshipped under Pastor Delono D. Straham at World Outreach Church which later became Destiny Christian Center where he was licensed and ordained. In 2010 he returned to Macedonia Baptist Church to continue his ministry as an Associate Minister to work alongside Rev. DeWayne Moore. After a brief stay, Rev. Rose left Macedonia again to remain alongside Pastor Rev. Dr. DeWayne Moore as his Assistant Pastor of the newly founded Ebenezer Baptist Church where his son Rev. Paul L Rose III, is Youth Pastor and his wife is one of the Musician on the Ebenezer Music Department Staff where the family continues in their current positions as of today.

Rev. Rose is also a licensed Certified Addictions Counselor III. Rev. Rose began his addiction studies in 1982 at the Salvation Army and he has furthered his studies and employment thru AmeriCorps in 1995, William H. Jackson Cadrec, Jefferson Hills, Pier One and he is currently working as a licensed Certified Addictions Counselor III at Denver Health Denver C.A.R.E.S. Detox where he has been
employed since 2006.
