REVEREND DR. DEWAYNE MOORE

Pastor DeWayne Moore was born January 29, 1971 and is a native of Denver, Colorado having been educated in the Denver Public School System.  He is a product of the Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was baptized by the Late Pastor John B. Morris.  While growing up in Macedonia he served on the Youth Usher Board, Junior Laymen, Youth Choir and personal assistant to Pastor Morris. On July 9, 1989, Pastor Moore was licensed into the Gospel Ministry and on June 22, 1997 was ordained into the Gospel Ministry by the authority of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Denver.

Pastor Moore has served as youth minister at Ragsdale Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and youth minister and Senior Associate Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia while attending Virginia Union University.  Upon his return to the Mile High City, Pastor Moore served as Interim Pastor of the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Denver for 2 years.  He also served as Youth Pastor, Assistant to the Pastor, and Senior Associate Minister of Macedonia Baptist Church of Denver from March 2001 until June of 2012. 

In October of 2012, the Lord blessed Pastor Moore to become the founding pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church “where everybody is somebody and Jesus is the main attraction.”

Pastor Moore holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Ministry as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Aspen Christian College and Seminary of Denver.  While studying at Aspen, Dr. Moore was honored as the ACCS Class of 2012 Valedictorian.  At the 2013 ACCS Aspen Journey Commencement the Reverend Dr. DeWayne Moore, 1st Lady Wynedra Moore and the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Denver were honored with the Inaugural ACCS New Ministry Salute Award.

Pastor Moore is the former President of Aspen Christian College and Seminary, former President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Metro Denver, and serves on the Congress of Christian Education Board for the Northern District Baptist Association. 

Dr. Moore is dedicated to encouraging others to expand their horizons in life by furthering their education and is such an inspiration to his congregation and the greater Denver Metro Community as a leader of integrity in such a time as this.  

He is married to the former Wynedra L. Guidry. Dr. Moore and 1st Lady Moore are the proud parents of three beautiful young daughters: DeJanae (18), Desirae (15), and Destiny (13); and one beautiful grand-daughter Kaylonie Paris Moore Collins (born 6/10/20).
