Co-Minister of Music

Rev. E. Hayward Hobbs, a native of Colorado, is a lifetime member of the gospel music community. He began playing the piano and several other instruments at an early age and started his life’s ministry at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Pueblo, CO.

At the age of 8 years old, he gave his life to the Lord and
has remained faithful to the calling of God on his life since
that time. Rev. Hobbs has performed on many stages, with
many gospel greats, but cherishes being with a host of
Denver’s finest singers and musicians. Professor Hobbs is
proud of a long list of noted students which include Phillip
Bailey and Larry Dunn of Earth Wind and Fire; Pam Greer,
film star and LaVan Davis of Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne”. Under the tutelage of his late Pastor and mentor Rev. Dr. Phillip Gholston, Hayward was called to the Gospel Ministry and preached his first sermon on September 3, 1973. Rev. Hobbs is presently Minister of Music at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and also serves as Co-director with nephew Rev Nathaniel Black at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Rev. Hobbs is proud to be named as one of the Associate Ministers standing along with Pastor Rev. Dr. DeWayne Moore. He is a man who LOVES THE LORD and has committed his life to singing, playing, preaching and praising the NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!!!
